Icicles and Cascade

from $149.00

I almost plunged down a mountainside after taking this photo.

When I was in college, I visited my parents for winter break. We drove into the national forest to hike to a waterfall, and we found that the road was snow covered. We got to the waterfall, and I was captivated by this small section of the creek with partially frozen water more than I was drawn to the main waterfall. I took the photo, and my Dad drove us back to my parents’ home. The road was very slippery, and Dad’s driving skills kept us on the road and away from the steep slopes to the side.

The image was worth the bit of fear involved. This is my favorite black and white landscape.
